Our beginner runners Couch to 5K programme is held in the Spring and early Summer every year. This year we helped 30 people who achieve their aim of going from zero to 5k runners in just 10 weeks. The sessions are held in a safe environment, led by UKA qualified Run England fitness running leaders, and are specifically aimed at beginners or people who want to return to running after a break.

We meet in St Piers Lane within the Young Epilepsy centre.

Run in a safe environment accompanied by friendly experienced runners with an easy to follow training plan specifically aimed at beginners or runners who want to improve their speed. This is a no pressure, fun training program.
It’s a simple route, up and down the lane, accompanied by experienced runners; so no one gets lost, or left behind. It’s basically a very safe, friendly and encouraging environment in which to build your running confidence. There is no cost for the first few sessions, so you are welcome to come along and try for free, although we would like you to join the club if you decide to attend more regularly.
