Am I good enough?
Provided you are medically fit – if in any doubt, consult your doctor – you are good enough to start running.
Every runner was once a beginner. As a total novice you may have a good number of concerns: I don’t look/feel like a runner; where do I begin; how far and fast should I run; have I got the right shoes/clothing; should I join a club/gym etc.
Don’t be daunted by joining a running club. Running clubs are typically full of members with a wide range of experiences and abilities. Whatever your ability or standard of fitness there will doubtless be someone of a similar standard to you. Running in a group, such as a club, allows you to benefit from the experience and motivation of others.
