Post Christmas party: Annual gathering held in January to beat those New Year blues. Many thanks to everyone who joined us at The Star on Saturday 13th January for the 2024 gathering. It was great to see everyone and it looked like everyone had a great time.

Annual London Marathon pasta party: Usually held on the Thursday evening before the marathon. Thanks to Kellie for arranging a good meal.

Summer BBQ – held this year on 11th August, at the Lingfield Sports Association ground, including the traditional ’rounders’ game. Many thanks to Dee and Scott for organising.

Annual Christmas Handicap race – takes place December each year. For a small entry fee, all runners receive ‘prizes’ in the VSSC afterwards. The 2023 winner was Marije Field and she now holds the Matt Bennett trophy for one year. The club also raised £500 on the day for suicide prevention charity, PAPYRUS, plus almost £400 in other donations.

Pub Quiz: normally it’s the first Thursday of the month at The Star Pub, Church Road, Lingfield. Meet at 8pm for a 8.15pm start. In May, June, July and August the team managed solid third places. Here is a sample picture quiz if you want to have a go. Next session should be September 5th.
