Beginners’ sessions

Ever fancied running, but don’t know where to start? Join our next Couch to 5k starting on May 13th 2019.

Our Couch to 5K programme is held in the spring and early summer every year. Last year we helped over 30 people achieve their aim of going from zero to completing a 5k run in just 10 weeks. The sessions are held in a safe environment, led by UKA qualified coaches and leaders in running fitness, and are specifically aimed at beginners or people who want to return to running after a break. 

When?

Starting May 13th 2019, the sessions will be held at 7.30pm every Monday evening,
 for 10 weeks.

Where?

We will be holding the sessions at the sports area at Imberhorne  Upper School, Imberhorne Lane, East Grinstead, RH19 1QY. Some of the later sessions will also include running on local roads and paths.

What?

The course begins with a short meeting to introduce the coaches, tell you what to expect, and answer any questions you may have. As well as the weekly sessions you will have an easy to follow training plan which will require you to do an additional two days training per week – but don’t worry, we will also provide support via your very own C25k Facebook page and weekly emails from the course leader. This is a no pressure, fun training programme.
 The cost of the ten week course is just £20, which also includes a year’s membership to the club, providing continued support to help you keep on running.
